1Are your products certified safe and healthy?

We only use the safest ones in the industry. We use foam that's CertiPUR-US Certified. That means it's free of toxins and meets the highest health standards in the industry.

2Will your products have that "factory smell?"

While there is a "natural" smell of the mattress when you first open it, it should go away within a few hours if it's placed in a well-ventilated room.

3Why am I being charged sales tax?

We are following the decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc., which found that all online retailers that generate substantial economic activity within South Dakota must collect sales tax. Therefore, if sales tax is charged on your order, it means the state you reside in now requires collection as well.

4Why am I unable to process financing at checkout?

For residents of Iowa and West Virginia, there have been recent developments regarding consumer loans that have restricted financing or made it completely unavailable to residents there.

1How high are your foundations/how much storage space is under the foundation?

The foundation height varies by type. An adjustable base foundation has approximately 10" of storage space and a 12" height. Platform foundations have about a foot of storage space and a height of 13.5". Finally, bi-fold foundations have no clearance (and therefore no storage space) and an 8" height.

2Is there anything I can do to help prolong the life of my mattress?

Rotate your mattress 180 degrees every 6-8 months. This will help to evenly distribute your weight throughout it.

3Are your mattresses flippable?

While you should rotate your mattress as recommended, flipping or inverting them is not recommended. Our mattresses contain comfort layers on top and support layers on the bottom. The quality materials we use are also more durable than your average mattress, which makes flipping our mattress unnecessary to begin with.

4Do I need a box foundation for your mattresses?

Any support system with minimal to no flex will work, including most platform, slat, and box spring foundations. If you need one to pair with your new mattress, please visit our frames and foundations page.

5Do you use any chemical fire retardants (FR) in your mattresses?

We use no chemical fire sprays nor retardants in them. However, we do use high-quality, fire-retardant socks made of a non-woven silica/rayon/polyester/cotton blend. Research Jones Fiber if you'd like to learn more.

6Will your mattresses develop body impressions?

Every mattress develops some body impression on contact. But we specifically use the most durable foams in the industry to minimize this.

1How does the bi-fold foundation support the mattress?

This type of foundation is made with both vertical and horizontal slats for support. Therefore, you will not require any additional support.

2What colors do you offer for the cover of the bi-fold foundation?

The easy-to-use, zip-off cover is available in a black/white combination. We do not offer any other ones at this time.

3Does the bi-fold foundation come with a frame?

No, the frame must be purchased separately.

4Can I use a box spring on top of the high rise platform foundation?

This is a matter of personal preference. While you certainly could do that, the platform can support either a mattress and box spring or just the mattress alone.

Selecting A Siesta Sleeps Mattress

1Does Siesta Sleeps offer custom sizes?

Yes! Pricing depends on dimensions and availability. But please note that a shipping charge may be incurred for custom mattresses, unlike standard ones. Please contact us for more information.

2How do I select the right firmness for my mattress?

This depends on your sleep needs, the position you typically sleep in, and personal preference. If you need some help, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.

Setting Up & Caring For Your Siesta Sleeps Mattress

1How do I clean the cover?

Gently dab it instead of rubbing it with a mild detergent. If you're worried about liquid stains, it's probably a good idea to purchase a separate mattress protector that can be washed.

2Do I need a mattress protector?

They aren't necessary, but we recommend purchasing one to ensure your mattress investment is a good one. They guard against dust mites and liquid spills, and prolong the mattress' life.

3How can I help to break in my mattress?

Just sleeping on it as you normally would accomplishes this. However, there are some things you can do if you want to streamline the process. First, you can carefully walk across it to aerate the fibers and foam. Secondly, if it contains pocketed springs, you can tug on the edges. But please note that this is not recommended for all-foam mattresses. Finally, make sure the room in which your mattress is located is well ventilated for the first 24 hours you have it at home. This will help to get rid of any odors and aerate the mattress.

4How long does it take for my mattress to break in?

Typically, it takes 30-45 nights, which is also the amount of time needed for your body to become used to the new mattress. Due to this, we recommend giving your new mattress a chance for at least 30 days before considering a return.

5How long can I keep my mattress in the box?

We recommend no longer than three weeks once it arrives at your home. While a mattress can be rolled up for as long as three months, keeping it compressed beyond three weeks can slow its expansion. If you aren't planning to set up your new mattress within this timeframe, please let us know and we can delay shipping to accommodate.

6How long does it take for my mattress to air out?

For optimal results, don't lie on your mattress for between 3 and 5 hours. Also please note that any natural odor to the mattress may take up to 24 hours to fully dissipate.

7How do I set up my mattress?

It's simple! Just take it out of the box and lay it on the front of the bed frame. Carefully unwrap or cut the plastic cover to decompress it, which can take a few minutes. While the majority of decompressing occurs during those minutes, the process continues for up to 24 hours after taking it out of the box.

A 30-day period from the delivery date for your body to properly adjust to the mattress is required. Also, the trial period can only be used once per customer per calendar year.

3What if my mattress feels too firm?

Typically, a new mattress will feel firmer when you first lie on it. But if it continues to feel that way after 30 days of use, there are some things you can do to soften it without sending it back. We can provide a free topper that will make it seem softer without compromising on support. The high-quality toppers help to increase pressure point relief. Please contact us to learn more.

11Can I cancel a shipment?

Unfortunately, an order that has already been shipped cannot be modified. If you cancel an order, it is then subject to a $60 fee.

12Can I delay a shipment?

Typically, yes you can. Just call our customer service department to do so. While we can generally make sure your mattress arrives within two days of a specific date, we cannot guarantee it.

13What if the plastic is split when opening the box?

In rare cases, the plastic wrapping that keeps the mattress compressed can split during shipping. Typically, no damage is done to the mattress if this happens. However, if you do notice damage, keep the mattress compressed and take photos of the split and damage. Then, please contact our customer support department, who will take everything into account and determine if a refund should be issued.

14How do I move the box?

We always recommend doing so with another person. However, if no one is available and you must move it yourself, do so with moving straps or a dolly. Even if the box is damaged during the move, the mattress should not be since it is tightly compressed in plastic.
